Apple Releases iPhone 7 And 7 Plus in Red

Apple recently announced their dearly loved iPhone 7 and 7 Plus in a strikingly beautiful red color; now this certainly took the consumer market by surprise, but this isn’t the first time Apple has taken a step to do something bold. Now a lot of people don’t know, but the red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are a part of Product Red initiative.

For those who don’t know, all the Product Red products that are sold have a portion of their sales donated to the red.org for HIV/AIDS research programs.

Product Red initiative is an initiative that is run by Red.org in which several different brands release special edition devices in color red. While this may certainly look like a strange approach, it’s actually done for a good cause. In case you are not aware, red.org is a non-profit organization that has worked with some of the well-known bodies in the past to raise money for AIDS.

Product Red is an initiative that allows several companies to partake by contributing in one way or another, a lot of people wondered if this was the first time Apple released something under the Product Red moniker, however, it wasn’t the case.

Apple is just one of the companies that have released products under Product Red too; notable companies like Motorola, Nike, Starbucks, Converse, Canon, Giorgio Armani, and several others have actively taken part in the Product Red initiative.

This isn’t the first time Apple has released a Product Red edition device, the company is known for releasing several different versions of iPods in the past with the color red. For those who don’t know, Apple has been taking part in supporting red.org for the past 10 years and happens to be one of the biggest donors at the moment.

Ever since their partnership, Apple has contributed more than $130 million to the global fund that is solely for the purpose of helping people suffering from HIV/AIDS.

For those who are wishing to buy the red iPhone 7 or 7 Plus can do so starting on March 24th. Apple isn’t limiting the phones to a particular region meaning that you can order the phone from whatever corner of the world you prefer to.
