People who are often in the market looking for good quality subwoofers usually go for the ones that produce the most amount of bass, and can easily get connected to their home theaters. To be fairly honest, most people barely look at the things like appearance, all they want is a good price, and amazing performance. Speaking of price and performance, how many of you have heard about a company named BiC America? The company has been around since early 70’s and have been the top name when it comes to supremely powerful audio equipment. We have had the pleasure to test quite a few of their subwoofers and today, we are going to take a look at the F-12 from BiC America and see if it lives up to the legacy. Before we start going into the details, you should keep in mind that this is the subwoofer built for people who are looking to buy something that falls under the sub $200 category, with that said, is it really worth it? Let’s find out.
Let’s start by pondering over the build quality, for those who are wondering that BiC America may have compromised over the build quality in order to give the BiC America F12 subwoofer a powerful sound, you shouldn’t. The subwoofer has one of the best build qualities we have seen in quite some time; the housing of the subwoofer itself is of cube shape, it’s large and heavy in size, the construction from the looks and the touch clearly states that the housing was made using high end components. The entire enclosure is nicely laminated with black. You can actually remove the metallic mesh in order to see some of the fancy innards of the subwoofer if you wish to, but as a professional, it’s best if you just leave it there in order to avoid any dust from getting in.
The thing about the BiC America F12 subwoofer is that if you happen to be someone who likes their bass punchy and strong, then the F-12 is the right subwoofer for you; during our testing session in which we tested different type of genres, the prominent factor that was revealed about this subwoofer was the fact that it happens to deliver some of the finest, and strongest bass we have heard on a subwoofer. All of this was made surprising because the BASH amp used in the subwoofer isn’t as strong as we had imagined, still, despite that small caveat, the bass managed to remain strong and punchy throughout the entire testing process.
The subwoofer comes with a wide variety of connectivity options, if you are wondering what we are talking about, you should know that you can connect a wide assortment of devices with the subwoofer, and the best thing is that you won’t be needing any additional connectors to have your devices connected.
Overall, the subwoofer is brilliantly built, and performs without a toppling or hesitating. It’s a sure sign of amazing, and flawless craftsmanship that has made BiC American the company it is today.
