Middle Earth: Shadow of War Goes Official, Releasing in August


Three years after the release of the Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Warner Bros have confirmed that the sequel to the critically acclaimed Shadow of Mordor will be releasing in August, later this year. The confirmation is coming straight from Warner Brothers, and they actually released a trailer for the game as well.

The game will be titled Middle Earth: Shadow of War; for those wondering, the sequel was already confirmed, but not a lot was known about it. However, now that we have the confirmation that it’s happening, only good things can be speculated.

Warner Bros. confirmed the sequel by releasing a trailer just a few minutes ago, and in addition to the trailer, they also revealed that the game would be having a gameplay reveal on March 8, later this year. Followed by an official release on August 25, later this year.

The pre-order is now available, and the game will be releasing on PS4, Xbox One, and PC (Steam and Windows 10). As for the plot, we can confirm that the Shadow of War will be an original story, as for the characters, we can confirm that so far Talion along with Celebrimbor are making a return.

We also have confirmation that Shadow of War will be featuring an upgraded and expanded version of the Nemesis system that was featured in the original. In addition to that, Warner Bros. promised that the world featured in Shadow of War would shape itself based on how you play. This isn’t something new. However, this will certainly add a depth of RPG element that is always welcomed.

Not a lot of information is present at the moment, but the fact that the game exists and releasing in less than six months is definitely something to look forward to.
