It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are perhaps the most talked about devices out in the market, especially after the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was an utter disappointment due to the horrible fate of catching fire spontaneously and even exploding.
Keeping that in mind, it is safe to say that currently, all eyes are on Samsung as they are gearing up to reveal their next big thing; the Galaxy S8, and S8+. We have already been treated with the fair share of leaks in the past, and almost everything about the phones is already confirmed.
However, the abundance of information that is already available isn’t enough to stop the leaks from happening. Just a few minutes ago, promotional material for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ started surfacing on the internet.
Now you need to keep in mind that despite being leaked material, this is still somewhat official and Samsung will most probably use the same promotional material. The images show both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ next to each other, but do notice that these are just renders.
The leaked renders go well with all the leaks we have seen in the past, so it’s safe to say that the shape of the phone is pretty much final. In case you are wondering about the specs, the Galaxy S8 will be featuring a 5.8-inch QHD display, coupled with the Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 processors depending on the region. As for the S8+, the screen size will be 6.2 inches with QHD resolution.
The S8 is said to have a 3,000 mAh battery, whereas the S8+ will be having a 3,500 mAh battery; both phones will be rated with IP68 certification, will have a headphone jack, USB type-C, and an audio chip that will be tuned specifically by AKG.
In addition to that, you should also know that Samsung has finally parted ways with the physical home button and capacitive touch buttons, and have opted for much better on-screen buttons. The fingerprint sensor now sits on the back. The phones also feature an iris scanner on the front; Samsung is also using its very own AI assistant known as the Bixby assistant. In case you’re wondering, this AI assistant was created by Samsung to challenge Alexa and Google Assistant.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are looking very, very promising, and considering the Note 7 debacle, expectations are way high this time around. The phone is set to go official on March 29th, later this month with the phones finally going up for sale somewhere in April.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as there is more news available on the Samsung’s next big thing, stay tuned.
