Samsung Galaxy S8

After months of leaks and speculations, the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are finally official, and while most of the rumours ended up correct, we should let you know that there’s no purple or violet colour in the mix, at least not right now.

Samsung has decided to take everything a step further and created a smartphone that just maybe perfect as smartphones could get, mind you, we’re strictly speaking in terms of design, as well as practicality. The S8 features a 5.8 QHD+ display that has an aspect ratio of 18:9 and the bigger brother offers a 6.2-inch QHD+ plus display with the same aspect ratio.

In all honesty, the major difference between the specs of both phones is the battery and the display size, the S8 comes with a 3,000 mAh battery while the S8+ sports a 3,500 mAh battery. While the battery isn’t as big as the S7 Edge, the new 10nm chipset will be more than efficient in providing a great, efficient experience.

With that out of the way, some of you may know that Samsung recently acquired Harmon, and thanks to the acquisition, the S8 and S8+ will come with AKG earphones that Samsung is also planning on selling separately for $100. Not many details were given about the earphones, but Samsung did show them off, and they looked excellent.

The Samsung S8 and S8+ will be available in black, gold, silver, orchid grey, and coral blue colours on launch, as for the availability, the phones are going up for pre-orders tomorrow followed by a global launch on April 21st, later this year.
